William H. “Trey” Alexander, III is the Owner and President of CG Jones, bringing nearly three decades of experience as a licensed Professional Engineer, Land Surveyor, and General Contractor. A lifelong Colbert County resident, Trey earned his Civil Engineering degree from Auburn University in 1998 and later co-founded Civil Group, which became a trusted partner in municipal, commercial, and industrial development across the Shoals. Today, he leads CG Jones with a focus on integrity, practical solutions, and building strong community relationships.
Trey and his wife, Shana, raised two children, Haston and Aubrey, and enjoy life rooted in family and tradition. Outside of work, Trey runs a small cattle farm and spends his free time hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.

Brad Williams, PE, is a Senior Engineer with Civil Group and advisor to CG Jones, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in municipal design and infrastructure. Licensed in Alabama and Tennessee, he earned his Civil Engineering degree from the University of Alabama in 1996 and has since built a career focused on practical, community-driven solutions. After founding Williams Engineering, which later merged to form Civil Group in 2013, Brad has guided projects across roadway design, flood control, wastewater systems, and municipal infrastructure, serving communities throughout the Shoals.
Brad and his wife of 30 years, Laura, raised three sons—Jake, Josh, and Jackson—and now enjoy time with their daughters-in-law, Brittany and Caroline, and grandchildren, Emry and Trace. Outside of engineering, Brad enjoys golf, aviation, and a life rooted in family and service to his community.

Jonathan Knight, a graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. in Building Construction, brings over 25 years of experience in commercial construction. His background includes heavy civil work, concrete and steel structures, and tilt-wall projects. Most of his career has been spent as a senior superintendent, where his hands-on leadership and expertise have guided large-scale projects from start to finish, making him a key member of CG Jones Construction’s leadership team.
Jonathan and his wife, Kristina, have three children—Kailyn, Braxton, and Gabi—and two granddaughters, Windham and Waverly. They enjoy camping and spending time with family and friends.
Our Team

Doug Moomaw is the Executive Director of Operations at CG Jones, where he has served since March 2021. He brings 28 years of experience in the construction industry and holds a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. At CG Jones, Doug oversees daily construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered with quality, efficiency, and hands-on leadership.
Outside of work, Doug is active in his local church as an elder and enjoys raising cattle and spending time with family. He and his wife, Gail, have been married for 29 years and have two sons: Christian, married to Elizabeth, and Shelton, married to Leah.

Morganne Weaver South is the Business Operations Coordinator for CG Jones. She joined CG Jones in March 2022, bringing seven years of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Morganne holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Science and Healthcare Management from Athens State University. After serving in healthcare throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, she transitioned into a new career path and found the perfect fit at CG Jones. In her role, she manages daily office operations, supports financial processes, and contributes to the continued growth and development of the Shoals community.
Outside of work, Morganne enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family. She and her husband, Skyler, are Shoals-area natives and were married in 2024.

Will Toms is the Preconstruction Director at CG Jones with 37 years of experience in heavy civil construction. Before joining the company in 2025, he served as Vice President of DPE Construction in Yuma, Arizona, overseeing operations for more than 450 employees. At CG Jones, Will leads estimating and bidding, using his expertise with HCSS software to support accurate, efficient project delivery and the company’s continued growth.
Originally from Arizona, Will moved to Alabama in 2022 to be closer to his grandchildren. He and his wife, Billie, enjoy time with their four children and two grandchildren, and he also enjoys lawn care and restoring his 1984 Chevy Silverado.

Shana Cornelius Alexander serves as the office manager and marketing lead for CG Jones. When her husband, Trey, branched out from engineering into construction, she joined him in building the company. After closing her photography studio in 2014, Shana brought her organizational skills and creative background into the business, where she now oversees daily office operations, directs marketing initiatives, and manages client communications.
Shana and Trey are the proud parents of two children: Aubrey, a CPA and Auburn University graduate, and Haston, a senior at Auburn University. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Matt Stewart serves as a Project Executive at CG Jones, where he oversees Maintenance, Smart Construction, Safety & Compliance, Underground Site Utilities, and Equipment & Fleet Management. He began his career with Civil Group in April 2015 and transitioned to CG Jones at its formation in 2019. Prior to that, he worked with Tuscumbia Utilities in 2014 and spent eight years with Norfolk Southern from 2006 to 2014, gaining extensive industry experience.
Matt married his wife, Tiffanie, in 2018, and together they have five children. Outside of work, they enjoy raising cattle and horses and staying busy with their children’s many sporting events.

Scot Black brings more than 30 years of experience in construction surveying and on-site sewage design. He began his career in 1995 and went on to serve with the Alabama Department of Transportation before co-founding Civil Group with Trey Alexander and Brad Williams in 2013. He later became Director of Field Engineering & OSDS at CG Jones and now also serves as Project Manager following the company’s acquisition of S&L Solutions.
Scot and his wife, Wendy, have twin sons, Braxton and Brody, both students at Auburn University. In his free time, he enjoys golf, tennis, and time with family.

Slate Wallace is an Estimator with CG Jones and has been with the company since its founding in 2019, starting as an intern before joining full-time. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Auburn University and is working toward his Professional Engineer (PE) license. Growing up in a family of builders, Slate spent time helping his father with his contracting business, which sparked his passion for site work and engineering. That background, combined with his technical training, allows him to provide accurate, dependable estimates that support project success.
Outside of work, Slate enjoys time with his wife, Morgan, hunting, and working with his dad on their cattle farm. He values family, hard work, and time outdoors, which keep him grounded and motivated in his professional life.

Superintendent
As a Superintendent at CG Jones, you are the leader and primary point of accountability for your projects. Superintendents oversee all field operations, ensuring that every aspect of the job, from planning and execution to safety and documentation, reflects the company's standards of excellence.

Senior Foreman
As a Senior Foreman at CG Jones, you will oversee multiple crews and larger, more complex projects while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Senior Foremen embody leadership in the field, guiding teams, coordinating operations, and representing CG Jones with professionalism and integrity.

Foreman
As a foreman at CG Jones, you will play a dual role; leading your crew and operating equipment on the job site. Foremen may work independently or under the direction of a Senior Foreman or Superintendent, overseeing a crew of up to six team members.

Moving the earth, setting the foundation, and keeping the work running safely and efficiently. Their skill, dedication, and work ethic represent the true strength of our company.
